Visa & Work Permit for Film Crew Coming to Thailand
After the film permit has been granted, the next steps are to apply for Visas and work permits for all your team and crew coming to work in Thailand. This process can only start AFTER the film permit has been issued. The visa and work permit is the responsibility of another government office, not the Thai film board directly, so the time needed for this has to be factored in as well.
In 2024 new rules have been introduced that will require everybody to get a visa and work permit, no matter how long you wil be shooting in Thailand. Previously it was not required for all when the shoot took less than 14 days in which case you could just enter on a tourist Visa. This is not possible anymore.
After Visas have been issued for your team, we will send you an application number that can be used to obtain the Viosas at the Thai embassy in your country.
The Thai embassies have recently upgraded to an online application system which allows in most countries to get your Visa online, without having to go to the embassy, which makes it a lot easier, especially when you are coming with a lot of crew.
